Today we’re going to talk about how you can play your way to more prosperity, to more money.
See, as an entrepreneur, if we forget how to play, then it takes the fun out of being an entrepreneur. I mean, at the end of the day, we really became entrepreneurs because we want to have more fun in our lives while making money.
The more fun we have in our lives, the more success we create.
The more fun we have in our lives, the bigger the impact we make with our ideas and concepts that we create with our business.
So, I have a really fun game today for you to think about and incorporate right away to help you generate more revenue, to help you grow your business, and it plays off of our desire of WHY we want to make money.
Why do people want to become more prosperous? Oftentimes it’s connected to a specific goal, for example, a new car, a new computer, etc.
So, how then do we make that outflow so to speak be an integral part of our inflow or growth in our business?
I call this the prosperity game.
Real simple. Make a list of everything that you want, okay, in your life, be it a car or something simple like a new computer, or in my particular case, 10 beach volleyballs, and then what you want to do is you want to research and find out how much that is actually going to cost you.
Now, here’s what makes the game so fun. Some people may say “Okay, great, that’s how much it’s going to cost? Let me look at my bank account to see what it’s in there, to see if I can buy it now.” And that’s EXACTLY where we fail from a prosperity standpoint.
Let’s say I want a brand new laptop, a MacBook with all the trimmings and all the bells and whistles and that’s going to be about, $2,800. Now instead of using the money I have already, I ask myself “How much new business can I bring in that will start paying me $2,800 a month?” “What can I do to bring in $2,800 consistent monthly business so that I can buy the computer the first month that happens?”
Let’s break that down for a moment on how that stimulate your growth.
Because what you’re asking for is new monthly revenue, not just new revenue, but new MONTHLY revenue and in doing so you come up with a specific plan, you’re asking the question and you ask your unconscious mind, “What do I need to do that?” and you started getting into the flow of creation.
Creating new opportunity to get what you want and whatever your motivation is, use that object as a way to stimulate growth in your business. The byproduct of that is this: Let’s say, I bring in the $2,800, I get my computer, great.
The first $2,800 that comes in, first thing you do is you go out and you get what it is that you want. So, in my case, the first $2,800 that come in as a result of my efforts of bringing in the new business, I immediately go get my computer.
Now, here’s what happens next month.
The reason why we call it a monthly thing because next month, another $2,800 is going to come in, but I’m not going to buy a computer every single month.
So, in essence as a result, it manifests in creating the opportunity to buy another computer even though I already spent the first $2,800. You go across this for over the course of a year, I have now created $33,600 in new annual revenue for my business.
Now, of course you have to create an infrastructure so that you have an offering that will create monthly revenue or you create a lead generation sales process that when stimulated will consistently bring you that amount every single month, maybe it requires a new ad campaign. Whatever the means is to create this monthly revenue, you make sure you ask that question, “What do I need to do right now to create the $2,800, the new monthly revenue so that I can buy my prize?”
Okay, so, what are you waiting for?
I challenge you to immediately put that in. It makes your business that much more fun, and then shift your mindset into thinking more of a growth stimulating type of activity, makes a game out of it. It makes a lot more fun. You get to buy what you want at the same time while growing your business.
