Going from a corporate job to “paid by the job” format is a scary transition for some. We’re going to talk to Cory Frietas of DigiWei about that transition and how he stayed motivated to keep moving forward as an entrepreneur!
Cory likes working out and lifting weights, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner for 10 years and just got my brown belt which is right below black belt. Career – Worked a corporate job and hated it. Got laid off and felt relieved. Starting to explore what I really like to do. Got Certified as a Personal Trainer because I liked working out but found out that I don’t really care to help others workout. Built a website for a friend one day and started wonder why its not showing up on Google, took an SEO course and enjoyed it. Started being mentored by you (Wei), then got the opportunity to run DigiWEI. Now here I am…
I grew up always hearing my parents talk about money problems. Going from a steady income at a corporate job to getting paid per job was a scary thing. I think growing up kinda middle class is hard…your not to poor where you need to do anything to survive and you didn’t grow up rich so you already have money. Find the motivation to stay motivated and not get comfortable with just having just enough.
