Today, I’d like to share an important strategy for making more money. And it’s just about as simple as it gets:
Stop doing so much!
Do you often find yourself getting caught up in side-projects? Do you have an incurable case of shiny object syndrome? This is going to be a game-changer for your business strategy. Let me say it again:
Stop doing so much!
The 90:10 rule of your genius shows that the smooth functioning of a business is only 10% dependent on your own individual brilliance.
Now don’t let that turn you off. This will actually be the key to your success.
Understand that about 90% of what you do every single day can either be outsourced, leveraged, or improved with technology, processes, and systems.
It’s simple to start
Start by looking at everything you do every day. Break that list down into tasks that need your presence, and tasks that do not. Prioritize your time to make sure that you are utilizing 100% of your creative when you’re engaged in a project.
And most importantly: Figure out what that 10% is that nobody else in the world can do.
In the process, you may find that there’s an aspect of your unique being that you have barely tapped into. You’ve probably buried yourself in the day-to-day activities that you can easily hand off to someone else to help you do it.
And THAT’S how you make more money as an entrepreneur. If you want to step into a space of upward growth and become a successful entrepreneur, you need to stop doing so much.
So here’s what you should do:
1) Make a list of everything that you do
2) Leverage 90% of your tasks. Understand which tasks are repeatable, and find capable people to do them for you.
3) Start spending your entire day on the 10% genius that lies within you – because that’s what makes your business so special and unique.
So what are you waiting for?
