Let’s talk a little bit about leadership, but more so about a very special event that’s coming up next week.
You may not know this but I’ve been cranking out some books this year and one of the books that has come out is called Breakthrough Leadership and you can find it online AND you can find it at Barnes and Noble, which is where i’ll be next week.with one of the co-authors on here Steven Griswold to have a open discussion about this book and do a book signing.
Now the book signing part is cool and having an event to promote it is also cool. What I’m most excited about however is the fundraising and charitable component of that event.
Thank You Barnes & Noble, first and foremost for helping us put this together, because Barnes & Noble has been able to coordinate a nationwide effort in helping us have some of the net proceeds of all purchases made that day at any physical Barnes & Noble location nationwide go towards the Torrance Adult School.
The Torrance Adult School has been around a long time in Southern California. They’ve been around since 1918 helping with adult literacy and providing English as a second language programs for people who want to expand and improve their English language.
This is really cool because we talk about leadership all the time and we think about leaders of a of a of military group or leaders at your business like a manager or as a CEO.
What we forget that leadership shows up in all areas of life.
How are you a leader with your family?
How are you a leader with your home?
How are you a leader for all the different aspects of you and the voices in your head that the chatter?
How are you taking a leadership position to make sure that you can continue to grow and evolve and be the greatest version of you possible?
What I love about the Torrance Adult School in the programs that they do is that they allow those who decided that it doesn’t matter what age you are, what societal expectations are,you can actually go out and build on the fundamentals that you may not have been able to build on when you were a child and you can go back to school no matter what age you are to increase improve your literacy, to improve your your your competencies language and in all different areas.
I’m really excited because it’s not just our local Barnes and Noble.

Something at Barnes and noble, a portion of the net proceeds will go towards the Torrance Adult School to help maintain their programs for adult literacy which is awesome.

What I’m going to do is next video is I’m going to go a little bit deeper on the leadership piece and so that’s going to be next week after the event.
