First off I want to say that we are so excited because we’re starting a new series of short little quips called Happy Snacks at Noon! We’re planning to do this on a weekly basis and it will include strategies, tips, and ideas to snack or chew on if you will. We hope that these will help you get into the mental and emotional state to increase your money flow, optimize your mindset, and ultimately help you create life mastery.

So today’s first Happy Snack topic is a phrase that is well known, but also misunderstood and a bit of a misnomer: MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL.

Most of us have heard this growing up and today we’re going to discuss why this is one of the worst phrases to believe in. I actually challenge you to stop saying this phrase altogether. Given what’s been happening this past year, many of us might have heard things like: “Oh, money is the root of all evil. Look what it’s doing to our society…etc., etc.”

Let me start off by saying this: money doesn’t care. By personifying money, you’re saying that money has some kind of behavior pattern and can make its own decisions. So money being the root of all evil is just not true. It’s the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil, which has nothing to do with the money itself.

Human beings choose to place energy or love or emotion on money and as a result of doing that they’re making decisions based on that energy or love or emotion of money, which in turn is actually the root of all evil.

In today’s Happy Snack, I challenge you to think about why you’re using this phrase that money is the root of all evil, and what you’re using the phrase for. By continuing to believe in the idea that money is the root of all evil, then you’re going to train yourself to start thinking that money itself is the root of all evil, and nobody wants to be evil. So guess what’s going to happen? You’re going to push money away. You need to understand that the entire phrasing is the LOVE for money is the root of all evil, not money itself. You can swap out money and say the love of cameras, the love of microphones is the root of all evil. The love of sugar is the root of all evil because sugar itself isn’t evil. It’s the desire to consume in an abundance and a lack of moderation that is bad for you.

I’m telling you right now, stop believing that money is the root of all evil. It’s the LOVE of money that’s the root of all evil, which has to do with a person attaching some kind of energy, emotion, or behavior pattern to money.

As I mentioned before, money doesn’t care. It’s just there. It’s similar to the Geico commercial, where you have the money sitting on the table, just staring at you. It’s not doing anything to harm anybody. Only when a person gets involved does it then become a problem.

So this was our first Happy Snack show! We would love to hear your thoughts on this new program in the comments below. We’re going to try and do this once a week so make sure you subscribe to our channel so you can get notifications on the next show!
