Dr. Rodney Ruge’s Money Story:
Dad was a military rocket-scientist/Control Systems Engineer. Mom was a conservative hippie farm girl with a penchant for psychology and raising her kids right. Mom said, “you can be, do or have anything you want in life”. Dad said, “we can’t afford that”, “make do with what you’ve got”, “what, you think money grows on trees?” My job was to make sense out of these two complete opposites, which usually meant finding a middle-ground between the two. One day, Mom said, “Do what you love and the money will come.” I bought it, (pun intended), hook line and what a stinker. Of course surfing and playing the piano brought me a lot of joy, but never put a dime in my pocket! Surely, chiropractic would be different… and I LOVE chiropractic! But there was definitely something missing from the story that would put that piece into the puzzle, but it took a few years and a lot of struggling before the picture started to become clear for me.
