Joshua Thomas’s Money Story:

I would say it probably started when I was younger growing up in middle class Wisconsin. My dad is a factory worker and my mother works for an insurance company in the background. I have a large family and growing up I remember if I wanted to start current with clothes and shoes(mainly shoes) as soon as I was able to work my parents told me what they could afford and if I had an problem with it, then I needed to work. To this day I don’t think my parents know I didn’t want to take away from $$ that could be used for our family food. Still to this day my wife can let you know I have a shoe addiction even though it’s under control(mostly). I work hard hard and buying a new pair of shoes is one simple way I reward myself.

I was listening to some of your other interviews and I thought man I’ve come along way from Midwesterner intimidated by the dollars signs that the South Bay has in regards to income of individuals and the loan amounts. I’ve come to realize a lot time it’s just a number and people are people.

Personally I’m still a son a midwestern steel factory worker. I remember when my father got his job and my parents being excited of what the future could Be for our family. In writing this I’m remembering child hood events that I’m assuming subconscio”
