In today’s Happy Snacks, we’re going to be looking at three rules that make you rich. So first off, what is richness? In previous episodes, we talked about how richness can be defined differently by individuals, so ultimately, these three rules are meant to encompass the whole spectrum of “richness.” The important thing to understand is that there is a method to the madness. We’ll be looking at your mindset and strategies to get rich, so let’s get started!

Know And Honor Thyself, And Practice Self-Care

The first rule is to know thyself, honor thyself, and self-care. Since the beginning of time, Greek philosophers have encouraged humanity to spend time and energy getting to know themselves.

What we mean by knowing thyself is taking steps to learn more about what we like and find joy in: personal development like investing in a life coach, going to trainings and seminars, reading books about self-improvement, etc. The second part, honoring thyself, is the harder part. It’s easy to learn about personal growth and yourself, but shifting into the mindset of doing something about it is much more difficult. You have to be willing to shift and change the rules on what it means to be successful in your own unique way; in other words, you have to honor yourself and take care of yourself. It’s all about self-care. Why? Because you yourself are the instrument and the vehicle for what is responsible for making you rich. Say you find another way to become rich, but you neglect yourself. All that money that you’re making and all the success that you gain is going to need to be reinvested back into just keeping you alive.

Challenge Rigid Truths Around Money

The second rule is to challenge pre-existing beliefs around success and money, otherwise known at The 6 Figure Academy as “challenging your bad money stories.” This negative thinking can run on a deep unconscious level that gets in the way of making the best decisions when it comes to finances.

When you start to know thyself and take care of yourself, you will start to have an awareness that some of the ways that you regarded money or you learned about money may not necessarily fit with how you are uniquely designed to be successful. You’ll learn how to challenge this thinking and discover the stories that work for you.

Embrace Failure

The third rule is to embrace failure and be willing to take imperfect action. Whenever I launch a new project or campaign, I am actually expecting to fail. Why? We’re taught to shun failure, but the reality is we learn nothing about ourselves, our life, our finances from success. On the other hand, we learn everything from our failures.

Success is simply proof that you learned from your failures, but it’s more like receiving feedback. Failure, on the other hand, is an opportunity for us to grow and discover new ways of doing things.

These three rules can be applied to all areas of life, including the money truth piece. At The 6 Figure Academy, we help our clients learn that money problems are not rooted in money, but deeper issues that we need to unlearn, otherwise we’ll remain stuck.

So to recap the three rules that will make you rich:

  • Know thyself, honor thyself, and practice self-care because that will give you clarity of thoughts. You’ll make the best decision for yourself this way.
  • challenge your bad money stories and long-held truths so you can rewrite and get rid of the stories that no longer serve you.
  • take imperfect action and embrace failure. In fact, look forward to failing so that you could learn and grow faster
