Speaking of happiness, this week’s topic is actually about why some people consistently seem to be happy all the time. What do these people seem to know about happiness that we don’t?

Sometimes there are people that we naturally vibe with and enjoy talking to because they have a happy outlook on life. Then there are people that have negative outlooks and it feels like pulling teeth trying to communicate with them. So today we’re going to talk about what these happy people know. What is consistent with them across the board and what kind of lifestyle are they creating? There are a few fundamental points, which we’ll cover below.

Point 1

The first point I want to talk about is self-care. Happy people know how to take care of themselves and how to prioritize their self-care. This is not about being selfish or self-centered; rather these happy individuals know when it’s time to take a break and rest, meditate, etc. When people are consistently sacrificing their own self-care for the sake of making money, working out, or whatever else, then they end up beating themselves up when they don’t hit their goals. That’s why when you consistently prioritize your well-being, you can be a better and happier human being.

Point 2

The second point is that happy people know when to say no and when to say yes, and they’re willing to take responsibility for everything that happens in their life. In other words, happy people don’t play victim to circumstances that happen to them, even if it’s out of their control. From the good to the bad to the ugly, happy people take 100% responsibility as much as possible and to the best of their ability.

Point 3

The third point is that happy people know that life is always in flux, meaning that they understand that life is ever-changing. There are some who want life to be the same and never change; good luck with that because things are constantly changing from one moment to the next. Even happy people themselves aren’t always happy all the time, but they know that emotions are constantly changing and they’re just able to get to that happier place faster.

The more we’re able to activate the law of requisite variety (meaning how adaptable we are), the better we’ll be able to create the world of happiness that we want. As long as we can embrace the fact that life is constantly shifting and changing, the happier we’ll feel in general.

Point 4

The last point I want to make is that happy people know how to “take out the trash” in their minds. As human beings, we come across a lot of information, but not all of it is beneficial to us. For example, my mom likes to watch a lot of TV, especially the news, but sometimes the information she learns is not healthy for her. It often skews to negative topics because that’s what sells.

Happy people will have systems or resources in place to consistently dump the “trash” (at The 6 Figure Academy, we have programs for this), and depending on what kind of belief systems or baggage or bad money stories you have carried with you will determine how much you have to throw away.

Once you get these fundamentals incorporated into your life, then you’ll start to become one of those consistently happy people. Watch the video for what happy people know below:

Hopefully, you found this helpful! If you feel like you’re one of those consistently happy people, please leave a comment and let us know any other tips you have. Have a good rest of the week and we’ll see you next Wednesday for another Happy Snacks at Noon!
