Welcome to another Happy Snack at Noon, the 6 Figure Academy’s weekly live “snacks” where we talk about money flow, mindset optimization, or more importantly, life mastery around happiness.

This week we’re going to address a burning question that many of you may have been asking yourself:

Why do I feel so tired all the time?

We’ve been hearing a lot of people say they’re more tired this past year than ever before, which is interesting because you’d think that during lockdown we can stay at home and get more rest, sleep in, etc., and many people have. Yet, we’re still feeling tired.

Nobody wants to feel tired all the time. When we’re good and rested, we’re in a greater state of happiness, which in turn enables us to be more productive and make better decisions for a whole host of things. If you’re still feeling tired all the time despite getting enough rest, that could be an indication that it’s just not physical fatigue that you’re dealing with.

Let’s start off by talking about the four different ways that fatigue can affect us, also known as the four bodies of prosperity.

MENTAL

The mental body of prosperity includes our thoughts and how we run our heads. This can include things like thoughts constantly running through your head.

EMOTIONAL

The emotional body is all about our emotions. Meditation is especially important for our emotional health because if you’re on an “emotional rollercoaster” (meaning you’re constantly going up and down emotionally every single day), that can make us feel tired all the time.

PHYSICAL

The physical body is what you do to take care of your actual body, skin, organs, and all. This includes eating properly, exercising, and getting plenty of rest. For example, you can feed yourself organic, clean, food or you can go with junk food. Both ways will get you full, but the long-term effects of those choices are going to be vastly different.

ENERGETIC

The energetic body is all about the energy we have that helps us exist and run our everyday self. If the other bodies are not being managed properly, then it’s going to be really hard to manage, maintain, and keep your energy levels up. Even if you’re drinking coffee or energy drinks, you’re still going to feel tired if you’re not taking care of the mental, emotional, and physical bodies.

One thing that we talk about with our students, clients, and community is what drives and motivates you. Motivation is one aspect of your life that can keep you from becoming fatigued, but we need to choose the right kind. There are two major types of motivation, which we’ll look at below:

FORWARD/POSITIVE MOTIVATION

This kind of motivation is what keeps you going forward. Think about all the things that you do that make you feel more energized than when you started. That’s a clear indicator that those types of activities are going to be what helps you feel less tired and actually more energized. You’ll know you’re in the right line of work when you actually feel energized at the end of the day; you want to go to happy hour or hang out with friends afterwards.

NEGATIVE MOTIVATION

This kind of motivation is painful and keeps you in the “fight flight mode.” You do things just to get it over with and at the end of the day you’re completely exhausted.

A good metaphor for these motivations is the stick versus carrot for the donkey. How can you get a stubborn donkey to move forward? You can either smack it with a stick (negative motivation) or dangle a carrot in front of it to keep it going (positive motivation).

If you’re not feeding your motivators in a healthy way, that’s going to contribute to your feeling tired all the time. The key thing is to be more mindful and start to pay attention to what lights you up and what doesn’t.

These will give you clues on how you can start to answer the question of why you feel tired all the time so that you can start to make better decisions to bring more happiness in your life, which will then make you feel less tired so that you can make better decisions around your money, mindset, and your lifestyle choices.
